Stan's
2000 Cherokee has been a work in progress during the
last few months. He has already added severe-duty Rockkrawler
4 inch suspension components and ARB's Old Man Emu springs.
Stan's suspension uses coil springs in front with sway-bar
quick disconnects and leafs in the rear with folding
shackles for extra droop.
The
high-output 4.0 has a Jet Performance chip, a high-flow
air intake, and a high-flow exhaust. It is hooked up
to a 4-speed automatic overdrive tranny. Both the front
and rear wheels are hooked up to ARB Air Lockers, installed
by JD's Offroad.
Some
custom bodywork was needed for extra room around the
tires. Control arm skidplates and rock rails were added,
and custom-made corner guards are also in the works.
At
the Poconos Big Boulder Jeep Jamboree in June 2002,
Stan traded his heavy-duty bumper and Warn Winch for
an ARB Bull Bar. He then added another Warn winch for
a very solid and integrated front end setup.
